Deluxe Bandwidth Fuzz (Serial 09D)

Sold out $59.00

This pedal is my take on the classic single transistor distortion circuit, the Bazz Fuss (pioneered by RoG & Tim Escobedo), that features a unique tone control (that I call "Bandwidth") and a modest amount of pick-up sensitive gain on tap! Each pedal has a unique marbled enclosure and all pedals are assembled by hand with custom made PCBs. While the circuits are the same in the various Bandwidth Fuzz pedals, no two look alike! This specific pedal also has a switch for changing your clipping diodes- two different voices for your distortion sound: Diode Clipping and LED Clipping!

Runs on a 9V center negative power supply and it should be placed FIRST in your signal chain (although it can work in other places early in the chain). The circuit's gain is sensitive to your pickups- roll the volume back for a different sound and to vary the intensity of the fuzz. The fuzz has a warm and velco-like character but it is not gated. It also works well when stacked with other dirt pedals and boosters! Players who bought pedals in the first run have stacked it with things like the Special/Speaker Cranker, Triple Rectifier amps, Fuzz Faces and more.. It's great as a solo boost that beefs up yer tone!

The Gain control (top left knob) will give you fuzz over it's entire range and the yellow Bandwidth/Tone knob is most effective when the Gain is turned up. Start with the Yellow knob in the center (detented on this edition) and turn it to the left or right to perfect yer sound! Turning it to the right will brighten it up and let it rage, while turning it to the left will mellow it out and let more bass through!
